A Note From Brandon’s Parents:

While nothing can change May 9, 2016, we have chosen to honor Brandon and his desire to help others move forward in their lives through the Brandon D. Harvin Memorial Scholarship Fund.  A ministry of It’s Time Ministries, the fund provides scholarships to youth who have demonstrated through means beyond mere academic achievement an enormous potential to make an impact for Christ upon the world.

On today, May 9, 2024, it is our honor to announce the 2024 recipient of the Brandon D. Harvin Memorial Scholarship.  Our recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship.  We are committed to praying for her success and look forward to the great things she will do for Christ.

Our 2024 recipient is:

Gabrielle Miller

Gabrielle E. Miller is a graduating senior at Sumter High School and a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Bowman, SC. Gabrielle plans to further her education by pursuing a degree in Management and Healthcare Administration from Claflin University.

Gabrielle shines bright in her school and community, which is reflected in her dedication to service, authenticity, and creating a more vibrant atmosphere wherever she can. In her school, she has served as Homecoming Queen, Student Government Association President, Starfish Club President, as well as Key Club President. She is also involved in Future Business Leaders of America, the Black Heritage Club, and the Ross Mckenzie Emerging Leaders Program, while balancing a part time job. She is also active in volunteering and service organizations, such as Girl Scouts and Mental Health of America. In her church, she serves in the Youth Ministry, Choir, Women’s Ministry, Praise Dance Ministry, and Sunday School Ministry.

Gabrielle believes that, “Giving time to help others does not just make the world a better place; it, in some way, makes you a better person.” She intends to use the healthcare profession as well as her heart for supporting others to provide compassion, reassurance, and healing to as many people as she can, with God’s love.
